Hello! My name is Angelica, but most know me as Angel. I am an artist at heart with a passion for photo journalism. My journey to photography was anything but linear, and has shaped me to be a multifaceted female entrepreneur and philanthropist. I have felt lead from a young age to focus my energy into building up my fellow women. I’ve worked side by side with women in holistic medicine, recovery, and specialized care in women’s health. After working as a birth doula for many years, I found myself surrounded by individuals in their most raw and empowering moments, and so I began to document through the lens. As humans, we are influenced by the senses. One of the strongest, being our sense of sight. There is something so powerful about experiencing a photo of a moment. Taking in a moment of a powerful creative, speaking passionately to her colleagues about her journey, a veteran working with others to find healing and peace, a team taking a group to the top of a mountain to discover their inner and outer strength and break down barriers of mind and body… All of these moments can reach you through the the lens.
